Chair Planter
Do you have an old chair that is about to hit the trash pile? Don't throw it away! Transform it into a unique and functional planter like these instead!
If the seat is still on the chair, remove it before getting
started.
Use chicken wire to make a basket-style container that can be
attached to the seat frame so that it hangs down a few inches underneath. Use
nails or a heavy duty staple gun to secure the wire to the chair seat
rim.
Line the chicken wire basket with sheet moss or as an
alternative use a straw evaporative cooler pad cut to size to line the basket
with to prevent soil from falling through.
Fill the basket with soil and add the desired plants. You can
change the plants with the seasons and make any kind of arrangement you like. It
is fun and easy and unique!
Water as needed....and enjoy this unique and fun chair!
